Purple Style Labs IPO GMP: Rs.0
IPO Price Band: Rs.546–Rs.575 per share
IPO Size: Rs.680 crore
IPO Opening Date: 31 August 2026
IPO Closing Date: 2 September 2026
Listing Date: 7 September 2026

Purple Style Labs Limited, the company behind the luxury fashion platform Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop, is set to launch its Rs.680 crore initial public offering (IPO) from 31 August to 2 September 2026. The company has fixed the IPO price band at Rs.546 to Rs.575 per equity share and plans to list its shares on both BSE and NSE.

The IPO has attracted attention because of Purple Style Labs’ presence in the premium and luxury fashion segment, its designer-brand portfolio and international expansion plans. However, investors also need to look carefully at the company's financial performance because Purple Style Labs remains loss-making and its net loss increased significantly in FY2026.

As of 28 August 2026, the Purple Style Labs IPO GMP is reported at Rs.0, indicating no premium in the grey market at present. GMP can change before listing and should not be treated as a guaranteed indication of the actual listing price.

Therefore, investors should not make an IPO decision solely based on GMP.

What Does Purple Style Labs Do?

Purple Style Labs operates Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop (PPUS), a multi-brand luxury fashion platform focused on premium and designer fashion.

The business operates through a combination of digital channels and physical experience centres. Customers can purchase designer products through the company's website and mobile application as well as through its physical stores.

The platform covers categories including:

  • Women's fashion
  • Men's fashion
  • Jewellery
  • Accessories
  • Kidswear
  • Wedding and occasion wear

The company's designer ecosystem includes brands and designers such as Seema Gujral, Anushree Reddy, Amit Aggarwal and Rohit Gandhi & Rahul Khanna, among others.

Purple Style Labs has also developed an international presence, with experience centres in India and overseas markets. Its target markets include the US, UK, Middle East and Canada.

According to company information cited in the IPO materials, the platform had more than 1,100 active designer brands as of March 2026 and operated 14 experience centres globally.

Purple Style Labs Financial Performance

This is the section investors should pay the most attention to.

Purple Style Labs has grown its revenue, but profitability remains a major concern.

The numbers show a clear problem: revenue has improved, but losses have expanded sharply.

Total income increased to Rs.567.07 crore in FY2026 from Rs.494 crore in FY2025. However, the company reported a net loss of Rs.285.40 crore compared with a net loss of Rs.188.38 crore in FY2025.

At the same time, EBITDA declined from Rs.41.99 crore to Rs.30.37 crore, while EBITDA margin fell from 8.57% to 5.44%.

This means Purple Style Labs is currently facing a difficult combination of higher revenue but weaker operating profitability and larger bottom-line losses.

Purple Style Labs FY2026 Business Performance

The company's Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) showed stronger growth than reported revenue.

According to NDTV Profit, FY2026 GMV increased to approximately Rs.721.56 crore from Rs.588.31 crore, representing growth of around 22.65%.

The average order value also increased significantly to approximately Rs.75,505.

However, the company served around 66,713 customers and recorded 95,565 orders during FY2026.

This is an important distinction for investors.

The luxury fashion business may be generating higher transaction values and GMV, but converting that growth into sustainable profits remains the bigger challenge.

How Will Purple Style Labs Use IPO Money?

Purple Style Labs plans to use the IPO proceeds for business expansion, lease-related liabilities, sales and marketing and general corporate purposes.

The major allocation is:

IPO Objective

Amount

Investment in PSL Retail for lease liabilities of experience centres and back-end offices

Rs.371.13 Cr

Sales and marketing expenses

Rs.138.90 Cr

General Corporate Purposes

Balance amount

A significant portion of the proceeds—around Rs.371.13 crore—is therefore linked to lease liabilities and expansion infrastructure through the company's wholly owned subsidiary PSL Retail.

The company also intends to spend Rs.138.90 crore on sales and marketing.

For a luxury fashion platform, marketing expenditure can be important for acquiring high-value customers and strengthening brand visibility. However, investors should monitor whether increased spending eventually results in sustainable profit growth.

Purple Style Labs IPO Valuation

At the upper price band of Rs.575, Purple Style Labs is seeking a market capitalisation of roughly Rs.4,600 crore.

The problem is that conventional valuation metrics such as P/E are difficult to justify because the company is currently loss-making.

The reported FY2026 EPS is negative, while the company also had negative net worth as of March 2026.

Therefore, investors cannot simply look at a low P/E or compare the company with profitable listed fashion businesses using traditional earnings multiples.

The key valuation question is different:

Can Purple Style Labs convert its growing luxury fashion business into sustainable profits?

Until that happens, the IPO carries considerably more valuation uncertainty than a profitable company with stable earnings.

Purple Style Labs IPO: Positive Factors

There are several factors that could work in favour of the company.

Strong Luxury Fashion Positioning

Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop has established itself as a platform for premium and designer fashion. Its focus on luxury and occasion wear gives it access to a higher-value customer segment.

Designer Brand Network

The platform works with a large number of designer brands, giving it a broad product catalogue and creating a differentiated position compared with conventional fashion retailers.

International Expansion

The company has an international customer base and experience centres outside India. Continued international expansion could increase its addressable market.

Rising GMV

The increase in GMV indicates that customer spending and transaction value on the platform are growing.

Fresh Capital

Because the IPO is entirely a fresh issue, the company will receive the proceeds for its own business requirements rather than existing shareholders selling their holdings through an OFS.

Purple Style Labs IPO: Risk Factors

This is where investors need to be careful.

Large and Increasing Losses

The biggest concern is profitability.

The company reported a net loss of Rs.285.40 crore in FY2026, compared with Rs.188.38 crore in FY2025.

That is not a minor temporary loss. Investors are effectively buying into a business whose future valuation depends heavily on a turnaround in profitability.

Falling EBITDA Margin

EBITDA margin declined from 8.57% to 5.44%.

Revenue growth without improving margins is not enough. If the company continues spending aggressively while margins remain weak, cash requirements could remain high.

Negative Net Worth

The company's reported net worth stood at negative Rs.52.28 crore as of March 2026.

This makes the balance sheet an important area to monitor.

Higher Borrowings

Total borrowings increased substantially to Rs.371.40 crore in FY2026 from Rs.112.79 crore in FY2025.

Higher leverage can become a problem if operating cash flows remain weak.

Luxury Fashion Is Discretionary

Luxury fashion is not a necessity. Consumer spending can weaken during economic slowdowns, and high-value discretionary purchases can be postponed.

International Expansion Risk

Operating across multiple international markets brings additional challenges, including currency fluctuations, regulatory requirements, logistics, taxation and differences in consumer behaviour.

Purple Style Labs IPO GMP vs Fundamentals

The current GMP of Rs.0 should not necessarily be interpreted as a negative verdict on the business.

Grey-market activity is influenced by short-term demand, market sentiment, liquidity and expectations around listing.

But there is another important point.

Even if the GMP moves sharply higher before listing, the company's fundamentals do not automatically improve.

Investors should separate two questions:

Question 1: Is the IPO likely to list at a premium?

Question 2: Is Purple Style Labs a good long-term investment?

These are completely different questions.

For a listing-gain investor, GMP and subscription demand may matter significantly.

For a long-term investor, revenue quality, margins, cash flow, debt, customer acquisition cost and the path toward profitability matter much more.

Purple Style Labs IPO Review: Should You Apply?

Purple Style Labs is an interesting but high-risk IPO.

The company has built a recognisable luxury fashion platform, has a sizeable designer network, operates internationally and is witnessing growth in GMV. These are genuine positives.

However, the financial numbers cannot be ignored.

The company reported a Rs.285.40 crore net loss in FY2026, EBITDA declined, EBITDA margin contracted, borrowings increased and net worth turned negative.

Therefore, calling the IPO attractive purely because it operates in the luxury fashion segment would be poor analysis.

At the current Rs.0 GMP, there is also no grey-market premium providing a positive listing signal.

For investors focused purely on listing gains, it may make sense to wait for subscription trends and GMP movement closer to the issue closing date.

For long-term investors, the more important question is whether management can demonstrate a credible path from revenue growth to sustainable profitability.

Our view: Purple Style Labs IPO appears to be a high-risk, turnaround-oriented IPO rather than a straightforward fundamentally strong IPO. Investors should carefully assess their risk appetite before applying.

What is the business of Purple Style Labs?

Purple Style Labs operates Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop, a luxury multi-brand fashion platform offering designer clothing, jewellery, accessories and other premium fashion products through online and physical experience centres.

Is Purple Style Labs IPO good for long-term investment?

The IPO carries significant risk because the company is currently loss-making, has negative net worth and has seen a substantial increase in borrowings. Investors should focus on the company's ability to achieve sustainable profitability rather than relying only on GMP or the brand's popularity.

Final Verdict

Purple Style Labs IPO offers investors exposure to India's growing luxury and designer fashion ecosystem through the Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop platform. The company has an established brand, a large designer network, growing GMV and international ambitions.

But the financial picture is considerably weaker than the brand image may suggest.

The company is loss-making, EBITDA margins have declined, borrowings have increased and net worth has turned negative. The FY2026 net loss of Rs.285.40 crore is the biggest issue investors need to consider.

With the IPO currently showing a Rs.0 GMP, there is also no grey-market indication of a premium at the time of writing.

Therefore, investors should avoid treating this as a simple “luxury fashion growth story.” It is ultimately a high-risk growth and turnaround bet, where future returns will depend heavily on whether Purple Style Labs can convert increasing GMV and revenue into sustainable profits.
