PVR, together with GEOJIT and BNP Paribas, has been operating for over a quarter under capacity restrictions of 50% due to operational restrictions imposed in the last 15 days due to the resurgence of COVID-19. On Monday, PVR's shares traded at 130.995 rupees, an increase of 43.7% over the previous session.

The price of the PVR share was quoted higher at Rs 50 on the 100-day moving average and lower at Rs 5 on the 20-200-day moving average.Two domestic brokers have upgraded the stock, which has lost more than half its value in the last month following the recent price correction caused by the closure of theaters in several states by multiplex chain PVR Ltd. PVR shares gained 36% last month after falling 32% since the start of the year. Market sentiment has developed positively over the last 9 months and the share price of the PVR has recovered to 13.10 rupees by the end of November 2020.

The share price of leading multiplex chain operator PVR fell by more than 3% after the company reported a loss for the quarter ending on June 31 despite a positive market. The company posted a poor full-year result, with weak revenue and control costs. On Monday, PVR reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 22,573 crore for the June quarter compared with a net profit of Rs 1,753 crore in April-June quarter of last year.
